In Chapter Two, we continue this poetic ode to the beauty of nature’s constant evolution and welcome four beautiful butterflies. They are an iconic emblem of De Beers and a symbol of our boundless creativity. I am particularly proud of the daring designs of this chapter: we’ve experimented with bold volumes, graphic motifs and hidden details. Our focus on transformability and versatility reflects the fact that De Beers is a young House: High Jewellery is the epitome of art and craftsmanship, but it should also be wearable and fun.”

The overlapping petals of the southern African King Protea flower provide the inspiration for the Spring set, crafted in a soft palette of white and rose gold to recall the plant’s feminine degradé hues. Diamond-set petal motifs cascade elegantly in these one-of-a-kind creations, each petal expertly articulated for an enchanting sense of grace and fluidity. Transformability abounds in this contemporary ode to traditional florals, reflecting De Beers’ unique blend of bold design and exceptional craftsmanship.

Summer

Evoking ripples on a sandy beach and the hypnotic forms of ancient fossils revealed between the dunes, the Summer set radiates the chromatic harmony of the warmest season. Rough and polished yellow diamonds accompany polished white diamonds in bold and versatile one-of-a-kind designs replete with intriguing motifs and silhouettes that appear to transform when viewed from different angles.

Autumn

The Autumn set symbolises the changeable nature of the seasons. Soaring curves of rose gold are hand-painted with a fiery Grand Feu enamel ombré that flows from deep red to golden bronze to echo the russet hues of falling foliage, and swooping silhouettes suggestive of the mesmerising movement of windswept leaves. These artistic enamel elements are all detachable from graceful contours of diamond-set white gold which symbolise the icy coolness of the imminent winter season.

The Winter set evokes the ethereal beauty of the coldest season, with graphic shards of diamond-set white gold echoing fragments of ice on frozen lakes and rivers. Articulated jewels display exceptional artistry, following the contours of the body to achieve sublime fluidity and wearability while echoing the gentle swaying of ice on the water.
